1. Who we are

This website is operated by Franziska Haaf, trading as Franni Card Art (Kleingewerbe), based in Germany. We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this store.

2. What data we collect and why

Order & account data When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, phone number, and payment information. This is necessary to fulfil your order and comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).

Browsing behaviour We collect data about how you interact with our store (pages visited, products viewed, cart activity) via cookies and tracking technologies. This is used for analytics and advertising purposes, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Communications If you contact us, we store your messages and contact details to respond to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our store. Non-essential cookies (such as those used for advertising and analytics) are only placed with your consent, which you can give or withdraw via our cookie banner.

Meta Pixel (Facebook & Instagram) Our store uses the Meta Pixel, a tracking technology provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. The Meta Pixel collects information about your browsing behaviour on our store — such as pages viewed, products browsed, and purchases made — and transmits this data to Meta. We use this data to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to improve ad targeting.

Under our current configuration (Conservative data sharing), only anonymised browsing behaviour is shared. No personal data such as your name, email address, or phone number is transmitted to Meta via this setting.

The Meta Pixel uses cookies that are stored on your device. It will only be activated after you have given your consent via our cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on our website.

4. Sharing your data with third parties

We share data with the following third parties as necessary to operate our store:

  • Shopify Inc. — our e-commerce platform provider, which processes order and customer data on our behalf. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — for advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel (see Section 3).
  • Payment providers — such as those integrated via Shopify Payments, to process transactions securely.
  • Shipping providers — such as DHL, to fulfil and deliver your order.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. International data transfers

Some of our service providers (including Shopify and Meta) are based outside the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred to third countries, appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. How long we keep your data

We retain order data for as long as required by German commercial and tax law (generally 10 years). Browsing and tracking data collected via the Meta Pixel is subject to Meta's own retention policies.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing)
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Germany: your local Datenschutzbehörde)
